Membership Criteria

What are the Membership Categories?

Professional Member

Professional members are listed in the Canadian Register of Manual Osteopaths (CRMO). This designation will be provided to practitioners who have met the following standards:
  1. Have graduated from a Listed Osteopathic Education Provider (LOEP)
  2. Have passed a peer-based examination
  3. Have professional liability insurance coverage
  4. Have maintained Continuing Osteopathic Education (COE) course requirements as required by the OOA
  5. Have proven to practice in accordance with the OOA Practice Standards Guideline (PSG)
Associate Member
  1. Are not yet eligible to be listed with the CRMO.
  2. Are in the process of upgrading their Osteopathic education with a LOEP.
  3. Practitioners who have achieved the required educational standards may then apply for professional member status.
